Augustana College is a private liberal arts college, founded in 1860 by Swedish settlers. Augustana has nearly 90 academic programs and fields of study including nine pre-professional and eight interdisciplinary programs: ranging from Accounting to World Literature.
11:1 Student-to-Instructor ratio, with an average class size of 18
3 levels of support: Each student receives a first-year advisor, a first-year peer group, plus an advisor in each major and minor.
The Augie Choice: All Augustana students may apply for a $2,000 grant to support a qualifying hands-on learning experience of their choice: international study, research with a professor, or to support an unpaid internship experience. Past RBL Scholars have used this grant or travel to Ireland and participation in a Civil Rights History Tour of the south.
Preparation, Awareness, Community, & Engagement: The PACE program prepares students for their college experience, helps students have awareness of their own identity and others, and builds a supportive community and encourage engagement with each other and Augustana.
βThe PACE Multicultural Mentorship Program at Augustana helped me meet tons of different people and faculty. They helped me forge bonds with people that I will keep in contact with for the rest of my life.β
