Marla is inspired by the words of Maya Angelou– and in particular now given the current situation in America; “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”

Marla believes it’s essential to continue to rise above the adversities you face, and links it to how we all can act simply and daily to Repair the World: “I believe in: ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ When we treat people with kindness, you never know what a person is experiencing at that moment and the smallest act of kindness can go a long way.”
